The closed Metro stop to the Colosseum is evidently Metro B-Colosseo. Opening hours of
the Coliseum are from 9 am to 6:15 pm and last admission is one hour before closing.
A Combined ticket with Palatine Hill costs €11,-. Strangely EU citizens from 18 to 24
years old have a discount and pay only €6,50, and those who are aged under 18 or over
65 enjoy free entrance. Another detail of interest for Coliseum visitors is that tickets
purchased after 1:30 pm are valid until the next day 1:30 pm.
When looking for a hotel in Rome or any kind of accommodation such as
B&B's and apartments one should ask the question. Where it is still
possible to find a reasonably priced hotel in central Rome and at the
same time not to fall into the notorious tourist trap where the accommodation
