Rome Travel Guide
Travel
Rome by Metro "All ways don't lead only towards,
but apparently also through Rome". This applies in particular to the Roman
car traffic: Despite numerous regimentations and inhibition of the Centro
Strorico for the foreign traffic a lasting "disastro". We would like to recommend
you the use of a public transport in Rome, the vehicle of one's own primarily
disturbs: eternal parking lot search, hardly any clear oneway street system,
unfamiliar quick traffic etc.. In addition: Excellent, very frequent connections
are really favorable to move with metro, tram and busses through the eternal
town. There are some special night bus lines to this and at a pinch one can
go back to a cab, what is then not quite so favorable, though. Who is on it's
way on foot (and has comfortable shoes on) gets around relatively fast to
most sights in the center. The crossing of high traffic intersections on foot
represent a greater problem for tourists particularly at the gigantic Piazza
Venezia.
